Wow, there are more ways than I would have even guessed to get all itchy and miserable. Ocean itch? Swimmers eruption? Plus bugs and good ol' poison oak and poison ivy? My skin is crawling just thinking about it.
Still it's worth the risk of little itching--being outside in nature, hiking or camping or swimming, beats sitting in front of a computer all day long.
(But, um, if you are sitting in front of a computer and are really really bored, there's this grouchy little health blog that Crabby is always pestering people about...

The past two weeks my feet have gotten EATEN ALIVE at outdoor concerts. I don't know why this works, but I POURED BEER (fullfat) on my feet and it INSTANTLY relieved the itch for the rest of the night. I guess the alcohol in it killed the itch???? My date thought it was a little odd, but at least I stopped clawing at my toes!!!

One of the best things to stop a bug bite itch ia ammonia, just dab some on & relief comes almost instantly, works on bee & hornet stings also

Ammonia !!! anything with it in it like windex, etc as soon as you know you got bitten spray it on!!!! My Anatomy teacher in college told us that and YES it works great!!! I was waiting for an elevator at dusk and the bugs were biting me like crazy I went up and sprayed my legs and ...Nothing the next day!!! Not even a mark!!!

I learned as a kid early on, when you get mosquito bites take liquid dish soap rub on the bite and it stops itching and goes away. I use this method all the time in summer months, friends think it wont work till they are still itching and I am smiling.
