Are you a 'good sport' at being a parent?

Ever been to a little-league game or gymnastics event where a parent goes ballistic for some reason? From kids being benched to young athletes making mistakes, there are many cases of parents berating coaches, other parents or even their own kids at public events.

What a good example to set, right? These parents are at a sporting event being incredibly bad sports. Sure -- mistakes are make and sometimes politics (for whatever reason) are cause to make some parents mad. Behaving like children, though, is not the answer.

No child is perfect and some are athletically more gifted than others, for a variety of reasons. If that daughter misses a pop fly or that son gets tagged out at home base, just don't lose it. Life goes on, and being a good sport and example goes a long way than the insignificant extra point lost due to a mistake.
