NYC's trans fat dump going smoothly

The forthcoming ban on the use of trans fat in New York City-area restaurants is coming soon, and by all measures, the move away from those artery-clogging fats is going smoothly.

Most city eating establishments say that they have already made the switch ahead of the July 1st, deadline, which happens this weekend. So far , so good, right?

Although the change to a trans fat-free menu is progressing, the request to have calories for all menu items presented on menus is running into a brick wall for fast-food establishments. So, although one major score has been tabulated for health advocacy, another one is right behind it -- only this time, it's much harder.
