I'm with Christy, I think these things are great! They're not that expensive either, if you don't get the fancy kinds.

I LOVE using my heart monitor to evaluate my workouts. I have a Polar model that keeps track, among other useful features that I don't use (!), and it keeps a history.
It's a must-have item.
