Immune system possibly tied to weight loss
Categories: Diet & Weight Loss
What bodily systems help control weight? While the answer to that question is beyond the scope of this post, research into the interplay between the body's systems is fascinating and worthy of a read. This summer, instead of reading a spy novel, why not do research into the amazing human body?Although many studies are done on rodents, the results generally point to areas of medicinal research that end up helping people live longer and more fruitful lives. In the recent episode of this, a new study found that some of the body's immune system could serve to curb appetites. That, in turn, could spur weight loss.
Although this research rested on mice studies, the knowledge that there are possible molecules in the immune system that help regulate appetite could point to important future research -- and even a weight loss breakthrough. Hopefully, fast food restaurants with poor menu choices will be a thing of the past by that time.
