The Great American Sex Diet

Posted on Jun 18th 2007 9:26AM by Martha Edwards
Here's a new diet plan: You can eat whatever you want, but you have to have sex three or four times a week. No exceptions. Does this sound like something you could follow? Um, yes please!

That's the premise for The Great American Sex Diet by Laura Corn. Losing weight isn't the ultimate goal here -- it's to re-connect with your partner, to de-stress, to gain a new appreciation for life. And it works. People who have a better sex life are happier and more confident. Furthermore, it's been found that participants of this approach spent more energy on their love lives than on counting calories and fulfilling their food cravings, which lead to a healthier approach to food overall. So while the actual 'diet' may not cause you to shed a bunch of pounds, it will give you the confidence to tackle your body issues in a positive way.

Corn is the author of two other books on having a healthier sex lives, so she probably knows what she's talking about. What do you think?
