If you're going to leave processed foods behind and start creating your own healthy meals at home, you're likely going to need a few kitchen gadgets. A year or so ago, I received a mini Cuisinart as a gift and it transformed meal preparations for me. Suddenly, dishes I always dreaded became my favorites, because I no longer had to chop every vegetable or drag out the blender to create sauces and spreads.

So what kind of gadgets belong in a healthy kitchen? Here's a great list to get your started, from small inexpensive tools to cooktops and indoor grills. A few that are on my wish list:
  • an oil sprayer to reduce the amount of oil when browning
  • a plastic, flexible cutting mat
  • a microwave vegetable cooker
  • a juicer
  • a convection oven (yeah, I'm dreaming)
What kinds of gadgets do you have in your healthy kitchen that you just can't cook without?
