It's great to see many parents getting their youngsters involved in swimming at such an early age. One thing to watch out for, though, would be exposure to too much chlorine, according to a new study.Excess chlorine could lead to the impairment of lung development and potentially make younger children and infants more susceptible to asthma in the future.
In the study, the lungs of children who had had infant swimming lessons appeared to be predisposed to developing asthma. The potential culprit (not 100%) was the exposure of these kids to chlorine gases in indoor pools.
