The 'spoon' body explained
Posted on May 25th 2007 7:28PM by Martha EdwardsTo avoid the spoon shape, focus more on your upper body than lower when it comes to resistance and weight training.
Are you a spoon?
Hmm.
While I totally agree that a lot of women could benefit from doing more upper body strenthening, I'm just wondering if whoever coined the term "spoon" shaped body has ever actually seen a spoon?
Wouldn't a spoon shaped body be more like a super-skinny person with a humongous head? (And I'm not sure they have any exercise plans to fix that.)
(Crabby has her own grouchy fitness blog over at http://crankyfitness.blogspot.com/. It's not nearly as informative as Thatsfit but it loves visitors).
According to my wife, we are both shaped like spoons...especially at bedtime.
