And the latest food craze is... Kool-Aid pickles?
Categories: Nutrition & Supplements
If there's one thing I've learned in life, it's that there is no accounting for taste -- especially when it comes to weird food cravings. At times people have somehow magically discovered a pairing that they cherish - cheddar on apple pie or raspberry jam and Cheez Whiz on toast for example -- while others are culturally inspired -- I went to school with a girl from Holland who ate white-bread sandwiches filled with only butter and chocolate sprinkles.
However the weirdest craze I've heard of yet is the Kool-Aid pickle. Perhaps not the best snack for someone on a diet (while dill pickles are very low calorie, Kool-Aid is full of sugar and the recipe for the pickles calls for even more), the pickles definitely sound like something worth trying out for any brave snack aficionados out there. Apparently they posses an enticing flavor mix of salty-sour and super-sweet. Technically, a little bit of sugar-indulgence once in a while won't hurt so if you're curious, you should give them a try... and then please let me know what you think!

I've seen folks dip sour dill pickles straight into the dry Koolaid. No sugar. I've heard that grape is the best. LOL.
