Pet food recall expands, according to FDA

At this point in the "pet food" recall that has exploded into the human food supply by way of pigs and chickens, it may be the end of the summer before there is any specific finality to this story.

FDA inspectors are now checking food makers to ensure the rice protein and wheat gluten they use for human food products doesn't have the dangerous melamine sitting alongside those ingredients.

Despite all the platitude reassurances, are you concerned about the products you eat right now being possibly contaminated? If you're a ham, bacon or chicken fan, what do you think?

This is so horrible about the dog food recall.
We as consumers have to protect our pets. Pet food and conventional medicine need to be scruntized by the consumer to prevent risks to our pet's health. This is what prompted me to use natural remedies for my dog. Profits seem more important than our pets health so we need to be proactive in their protection.
