Sneaking nutrition into school junk food?

With much of America's youth hooked on junk foods and chemical taste enhancers (like monosodium glutamate), it's no wonder that tricks have to be used to ensure many kids get some kind of nutrition during those formative years. In Virginia, food authorities for public schools are doing something I find both right and wrong at the same time: they are "sneaking in" nutrition into common junk foods to combat childhood obesity. What?
Apparently, completely changing the school lunch menu to healthy foods just won't cut it in a state where 13.7 percent of children were overweight in 2005. "We get a lot of criticism for serving pizza so often, but the cheese is low fat and the crust is whole grain," said a Department of Education official form Virginia. While this is a valiant effort, would it be so hard to serve nutritious foods without a cover up? If the kids don't eat it, whose fault is that? Certainly not the school's fault.
