Wal-Mart list: Vacuum bags, milk, medical check-up...

I live in a fairly small town, but the Super Wal-Mart down the street from me not only has clothes, electronics, furniture, and groceries (hence the "super"), but it's got a nail salon, a bank, an eye doctor, an auto shop, and even a McDonald's all under the same roof. And although not under the same roof, in the same parking lot there's a Wal-Mart gas station. Throw some Wal-Mart apartments on the roof and you've got a complete city.Seems like they might actually be going for the "city" thing for real because although I haven't heard anything about apartments, they are planning to put in-store medical clinics in 400+ more stores. There are already 76 clinics operating in Wal-Marts across 12 states, but they say their plans to increase this exponentially will provide local and affordable health care to more and more consumers. It's the Wal-Mart answer to the health care crisis.
I know what you're thinking, but no worries: the clinics will be leased and operated by local hospitals, not "Wal-Mart" staff doctors!
