Nap rooms at the gym!

Not really. But this is my grand invention for the day. Wouldn't it be wonderful? The reason I wish for a nap room is because sometimes I am legitimately exhausted! I love to work out. My profession is fitness and I pursue it with a passion, but sometimes I just feel like a nap would do me equal good.
I have two small children ages 2 and 4, who stay with me full time. They're even in my gym with me while I train people. I run myself ragged doing it all. Between training, lecturing, writing and keeping my house nice... I take them on wonderful adventures each day.The only time I get for myself is when they stay at the "Kids Club" at the gym I attend. Mind you ... I own an amazing gym, but can't use it because the kids want me to entertain them. So ... I use the other gym and they play at the Kids Club.
Sometimes when I go to the gym, I'm really wishing for a nap. Just a little dark room with clean sheets that I could doze in for half an hour. How many people would go for that? I 'd bet it would be cool to go for a run and then take a snooze to break up the work day. So there you have it. My invention of the day. If someone reading this owns a gym, and puts in a nap room, please invite me. I could really use some rest.

I think it sounds like a great idea. Everyplace should have a nap room. But then again I am a college student who takes frequent naps ;-)

Most wonderful idea i have heard all day, but think....
cheap and horny people could use it for sex purposes(gasp)
unwitting individuals could be molested
productivity might grind to a standstill.
still, this is an awesome idea !

Gay clubs already have them. They are called Gay Bath Houses, and after your done working out or working it, you go "to your room".

You Go Girl ! I too have a passion for going to the gym but the gym is not where I'd like to nap. I've always wanted to open a Nap Store. Somewhere close like the local Carabou Coffee Shop. No Couples! :)

Stupid idea.... hire a babysitter, lighten up your load, and take a nap at home.... you are overworked!

There is an issue with time control and surveillance of these private spaces. Not to mention it's gross to share a nap space used by so many throughout the day. You really think they're going to change the sheets of every bed or cushy place every 30 minutes? It's costly for a seperate staff and to be fully supplied. I don't imagine how it would work, nor do I see much for it's purpose anywho.

How annoying for the people in your class.... 2 little kids running around, while they are trying to take your class. Please sign me up immediately (not)...
Yes, the gym should be a haven, start by leaving your kids at home. Everyone will be more relaxed.

great idea! i just started working out and i work out with a family member early in the morning. we ride together to work. some mornings i am too tired to work out or just not in the mood. it would be great to lay down a half a hour or so until he is finished. or after i work out i could take a nap before i head home (after a shower ofcourse. as far as the sheets being changed. do you really think they change your sheets at a hotel after every use. at worst you could bring your own pad and pillow to rest your head on. anyway its a strong idea and the details need to be worked out . thanks for your time.

I've thought for a while that given the state of sleep deprivation of most Americans, someone should open a chain of "nap houses." Put some along the highway in rest areas, some in airports. Some in big cities near tourist sites. Charge people for quiet napping time in half hour increments. Yeah, you'd have to figure out how to keep the nappers one to a cubicle, change the sheets, etc. but it could be done!

I think it is a great idea. The body needs at least seven hours of sleep to build muscle and recover from workouts. How many people even get seven hours?
