Review those portions please
Categories: Nutrition & Supplements
How have portion sizes changed in the last 20 years? They've gone from decent to huge in many respects. So, those three squares per day these days is not quite what it was from 20 years ago. My guess is that the standard meal these days is probably twice as large in terms of caloric content from a standard meal circa 1987.Some folks I know equate the quality of a restaurant with how large the portions are, but this is dangerous thinking. Food quality in a decent-sized portion is more of a good measurement tool, right?
Make it a point to "watch those portions" when you eat. Even frozen dinners are huge these days. It all comes back to eating nutritionally-sound foods without a ton of calories on each sitting.

im afraid your report will fall mainly on deaf ears :( for most americans do not understand the term in moderation and they wouldnt even know what a good size porion is :( im a gymnast and i eat over 3000 calories a day of healthy food as oreded by my doctor because of dizzy spells. how can i eat sooo much and still be in shape? its what i eat and how much i eat at a time not my total calorie intake that has the biggest impact on my shape! but try telling that to the calorie counters of america!
