Pet food recall expanding like crazy
Categories: Diet & Weight Loss
After watching the recall of Menu Foods' pet products from several brands in the last month, the situation continues to deteriorate. More pet food products have been added to the recall list in recent weeks, some dry foods have been added and there is a growing sense of madness with pet owners across the U.S.At the root of all this is imported components from China like wheat gluten and rice protein. The quality control outside of the U.S. has always been an area of concern when I've bought products that I eat or drink, and this latest example only amplifies that, does it not?
Solution? I've used Innova dog food and Bil-Jac as well, which are generally made with U.S.-only ingredients and have received high marks from vets and animal experts alike. The Pet Connection website is the best resource for updates on this current pet food mess, so if you're concerned, check it out here.
