Eat for happiness with The Good Mood Diet

Some of the best times of my life revolved around food. At the dinner table with my family, in restaurant with friends, at picnics on a sunny day, thinking of food has an impact on my mood: it makes me happy. There's an idea out there that claims that certain foods are associated with certain moods, and thus your diet can have a big impact on your overall mood. It's called the Good Mood Diet, and it involves eating for your mood.

Want examples? Dairy is good for a sharp mind, nuts relieve stress and fruit and whole grains will help with mid-afternoon energy slumps. As for foods that have a negative impact on your mood, stay away from caffeine, alcohol and foods that are high in refined sugars and fat.

I'm a bit skeptical ... I'm in a much worse mood if I don't have a morning coffee than I am if I do. What do you think?
