Bomb drops: study says most diets are useless
Categories: Diet & Weight Loss
Most weight loss diets don't work and actually end up putting dieters at risk, according to a new study. This sounds like a pretty controversial topic to me, but nevertheless it's interesting.New research shows that after looking at more then 30 studies, more than two-thirds of dieters on the most common diets regain all the pounds. Even more shocking, most of them become heavier then their pre-diet weight. Yikes!
The problem probably stems in a good way with what is considered yo-yo dieting and the like. Solution? Don't make diets a temporary solution to w weight problem but as a basis for permanent lifestyle change.

That doesn't surprise me. I see too many people who think they have failed a diet due to one little mistake, and just give up, and overeat instead. Or they think finishing their diet is all they need to do, and lose the control they built during the diet.

To successfully lose weight, you must carry out
a plan to balance your caloric intake with exercise.
Ideally, dieting should be done by eating a nutritionally
balanced, low-calorie diet and increasing physical activity.
