Another recall from J&J: Listerine 'Agent Cool Blue'
Categories: Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment
Johnson and Johnson announced another recall today: all lots of Listerine Agent Cool Blue are being recalled due to potential health risks to people with weakened or suppressed immune systems. Apparently the preservative used in the bottle and product was found faulty at controlling certain microorganisms. Yikes, and yuck. But J&J reports that the health risks to healthy individuals is not only very low, but nobody has even reported any problems as of yet (yeah, with an announcement like this that's about to change!). So check your cabinets and bathroom countertops for Listerine Agent Cool Blue, available in both Glacier Mint and Bubble Blast Flavors.

This is upsetting to say the least. Both my kids had been using this stuff. My dog died just over a week ago from eating contaminated dog food. And I have been sick from eating contaminated peanut butter. Where is our government protecting us and making sure what we use or eat is safe? This is insane!

This also concerns me very much also. My younger son, whom is 11, has been using this product for a couple months now...since January. Since then, he has been sick and missing school again and again and AGAIN!! He's had fevers as high as 105 degrees, thrown up, has had diarrehea, severe migraine headaches. I've had him to the Emeregency Room, the doctor's office, been given prescriptions for Tamiflu and the antibiotic Biaxin. At one point I had him in the shower with cold water running over him just to cool him down. Just recently we had x-rays taken on his chest to rule out any pneumonia, if he wasn't put on antibiotics, it could have easily gone into pneumonia!!! I also had him taking vitamins with extra C, zinc and antioxodants. We recently ran out of Agent Cool Blue and since then has been doing a bit better. (no reoccuring fever now for a whole week)
I'm just wondering if there are any similar cases out there?
If you have a similar situation or know of anyone who does, please respond.

My daughter has been using this product since it came out. I just found out she has an abcess in her throat and she has difficulty breathing. Antibiotics will not bring the swelling down so she will need surgery to remove it.

My gums have been swollen and bleeding for well over a month now. I brush twice a day and couldn't figure this out. Now I know why. I'm going to have to check with the kids if they have had any problems tommorrow. That really stinks. I'm looking at the bottle now and there tons of bubbles on the surface.

I just heard about this recall. My daughter has been using this for about 6 months now, and she recently developed a bump on her gum. It is the strangest thing and I have been watching it and it hasnt changed shape or size, but is still there. I am wondering if this has anything to do with it.
