Eat healthy at the airport

I'm a relatively healthy eater, but one place I always cave in to junk food is the airport. I'm traveling, I'm tired, and I figure it's only once in awhile, so it's not going to kill me.
While thinking like that isn't exactly awesome for my waist-line, for a guy like me that isn't on the road very often, it's probably no big deal. For those of you whose careers depend on being in and our of airports on a regular basis, however -- especially in the wake of new security restrictions that keep you in airports long enough to grab a bite -- it might time to re-adjust your eating habits.
Your best option, obviously, is to bring food from home. This way you can be sure to pack something worth eating. Keep in mind, however, that anything that isn't solid (yogurt, soup, etc) has to be less than 3 oz (which, to be honest, is hardly worth bringing in the first place). Anything from outside the airport also has to fit in your carry-on luggage.
On the other hand, food you buy inside the departure lounge isn't included as part of your carry-on allotment, and you're also able to purchase non-solid foods in quantities larger than 3 oz. Just make sure you're paying attention to what you're buying. Keep an eye out for low-fat options, and stay away from the plethora of sugary pastries made available to you.
Look for places that sell fresh fruit or cereal for breakfast, and try a 6 inch sub with a side of veggies for lunch or dinner. Remember, you're really just trying to tide yourself over until you're back on the ground, and have access to what you'd eat normally.
