Expressing love can...lower cholesterol?

If you are looking at ways to lower your cholesterol, you may have heard of drugs and watching your diet closely as possible ways to get that pesky "bad" cholesterol level under control. How about writing down affectionate feelings for your significant other?

A new study concluded that writing about affectionate feelings for loved ones may have health benefits for the heart and for keeping cholesterol levels manageable. The study involved participants who wrote about their loved ones for a five-week period -- then were observed to have significantly lower cholesterol levels than their peers.

While the positive mental effects of showing affection are well documented, does this study show the growing correlation between mind and body that some nutritionists and naturopaths talk about? What do you think?
