Another pet food manufacturer comes under fire
Categories: Diet & Weight Loss, Motivation
Just a few days after a huge pet food recall from Menu Foods comes an unrelated class-action lawsuit against a highly regarded premium pet food company, Royal Canin. Since this week's pet food recall has caused quite a bit of emotional stress with pet owners this week, it felt right to post this semi-related missive here.A Canadian class action lawsuit against Royal Canin Canada states that certain products contain excessive amounts of vitamin D, and the claimants claim that this has caused their pets to become sick or die.
The suit against Royal Canin states that the company either knew or should have known the levels of vitamin D were unsafe and could cause the animals to develop high levels of calcium in their blood. This, of course, can lead to severe health complications.

Oh, this seems to becoming a more frequent problem with human and pet foods.
Gonna have to keep growing more veggies at home.
