Lean Cuisine gets twice as many veggies
Posted on Mar 20th 2007 8:00AM by Bethany SandersThough I don't like to rely on frozen dinners for lunchtime, I like to have a few in my freezer for busy days or for when I'm low on fresh groceries. That's why I was glad to read that Lean Cuisine is introducing Spa Cuisine, a new line of five dinners that contain twice the average veggies of their regular dinners. Twice the veggies means more nutrition without adding more calories, and more fiber to help you feel full as well.
Not only did they add more vegetables, they've introduced some variety: snap peas, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, even edamame. I'm looking forward to the first time they go on sale so I can stock up on a few.
Healthy frozen dinners are ok in a pinch, but if you find yourself living off of them, you may be getting too much sodium. If you want to try brown-bagging it now and then, but don't know what to make, here are some simple lunch recipes to try, most of which you can prepare the night before. Yum!
