Blowing that diet plan in less than a minute -- and how to prevent it

When you are on a diet, do you think of all the things that can knock you off the wagon? Things like smelling that unhealthy dish (but very deliciously smelly) or that slip to the fast food restaurant for a quick cheat? After all, there is no stronger tool in the dieting game (and the weight loss game) than sheer willpower.Sometimes, it can take less than a minute to blow a diet. What can you do so the flood of eating memories doesn't come crashing down to ruin all the hard work you've accomplished in staying on that dieting track?
Try the "STOP" method, which includes these steps:
Slow down
Think
Open your mind
Pay attention
If you can STOP, then you won't lose control over your eating habits and dietary forces won't come to a standstill when the smell of that quarter pounder wafts into your cubicle from the other side.
