Are you a believer in that your diet contributes to cancer and tumor growth? With the multitude of preservatives and chemicals in modern processed food, it's not hard to imagine that some of the junk we put in out bodies ends up doing a little (to a lot) harm.On the subject of brain tumors, recent research out of the U.S. states that an alternative, diet-based method can end up leading to a significant decrease the growth of those types of tumors.
The diet includes a methodology called KetoCal -- which is a commercially available high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet that was originally designed to treat epilepsy in children. KetoCal, when fed in an unlimited amount to a test group of rats, decreased the growth of brain tumors by between 35% and 65%. There are also no chemotherapy or radiation treatments or other traditional procedures used here -- the results were based solely on diet.
