Flat Earth chips: Are they really impossibly good?
Categories: Healthy Habits, Womens Health, Healthy Kids, Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Reviews & Products, Alternative & Green Health, Nutrition & Supplements, Men's Health
Frito Lay is introducing a new brand of healthier chips called Flat Earth. The new line of snack crisps are made with real fruits and vegetables. Flat Earth fruit crisps and veggie crisps are available in six flavors: Farmland Cheddar; Garlic & Herb Field; Tangy Tomato Ranch; Wild Berry Patch; Apple Cinnamon Grove; and Peach Mango Paradise and retail for $2.99 (6 oz.).
The Flat Earth slogan is "impossibly good" and the logo is a flying pig. All to the suggestion that what once was thought to be an impossible task of creating a chip that was both nutritious and delicious, is now a reality. The vice president of innovation at Frito Lay, North America, Joe Ennan, says that, "Today's consumer demand for healthier options was our call to action to develop the unique brand of Flat Earth baked snacks."
You can learn more about Flat Earth, by visiting FritoLay.Com. If you've tried them, comment about your experience.

I just finished a bag of the Wild Berry variety and they were actually really good. Not too sweet, but still quite fruity , which is impressive considering rice flour and potato flakes are the leading ingredients. Still though, quite satisfying. Give them a try.

On our family farm we grow vegetables for a company that provides some of the dehydrated items for these chips. Because of the in we had there, we received samples of much of the line. A chip loving family, we were all blown away by how amazingly good these chips are! Latest news is that Frito Lay can hardly keep these items on the shelves.

We tried a sample of the wild berry and the cheddar at store tonight and really liked them. We bought a bag of the wild berry and the peach mango. Both are great and really good with ice cream.
They didn't have any of the other flavors, but look forward to trying them.

I love the Tangy Tomato Ranch flavor. THe taste and smell of tomato are great!!! My boyfriend almost finished the whole bag until I stopped him. I think it is a good choice for people who don't have enough vegetable everyday or hate to eat vegetable, but love to eat chips becasue it says that 1/2 or 1 serving per Oz. hahahah~ It made me feel better to eat it while I am using the computer.

I tried some of these chips (the apple cinnamon grove) at a sample table at the local grocery store. I thought they were really good, however, the child was not impressed with them and handed her sample to me.

I'm currently enjoying some of the Tangy Tomato Ranch flavor -- very tasty. I saw that pumpkin was a main ingredient and I'm surprised as it enhances the tomato flavor rather nicely. I'm looking forward to trying the other flavors.

Happened to see an ad in Woman's Day for the fruit crisps. They sound great. My 22 year old daughter is in the Air Force and 2 weeks ago was deployed to Afghanistan. (Was previously in Iraq..she's Air Force Intelligence)..As you can imagine, the food is not great and she is a health food freak..always keeps in excellent shape. Thee snacks would be perfect to send to her. However, i have looked in a few markets in my area and cannot find them. I am located in Southern New Jersey ...Can you please let me know where i might be able to find the Baked Fruit Crisps in my area? I'm in zip code 08079 but am also close to 08302, 08332 & 08360. For my daughter, i will be willing to travel anywhere to get something like this to send her. Thanks for your help.

Thanks so much to you and your daughter for her service to our country. She's obviously very brave and patriotic. I would visit FritoLay.com to find the chips. They'd be most useful in your search. I normally see them at the grocery store, Walmart, Target, etc. but Frito Lay could give you exacts!
Good luck. Please send my best and appreciation!

The Peach Mango Paradise are the best chips ever!!!! I didn't think anything but a regular potato chip could satisfy my chip taste but the Flat Earth Cips are off the chain and that's a very good thing!

I am sitting at work and enjoying a bag of the Tangy Tomato Ranch and not feeling the least bit guilty. After going to the grocery store knowing I want to go on a diet but hating diet food just picking these out was a risk...however it was a risk worth taking. These chips are so good and I think would be a hit with the pickiest of eaters. Kind of skeptical about the sweet ones but I will still go out and buy a bag of each b/c of the reviews!

I LOVE the peach mango! i recommend them to everyone. Not just those of us who have special dietary needs.
When first introduced, I found them every where, and now I have trouble finding them anywhere!!

Munching Peach Mango Paradise as I type this.
Fabulous.
I'll have to try one of the veggie-oriented flavors to help satisfy my hummus addiction.
