Study: Omega 3 oils don't fight depression

Categories: Motivation, Nutrition & Supplements

Although I am a huge fan of taking Omega-3 oils every day as part of my supplement regimen, I've always been intrigued by reports that this healthy oil can help those suffering from depression.

New research points out that this may not be true, however. In fact, the research says that there is no evidence that omega-3 fatty acids -- on their own -- fight depression.

This flies in the face of prior research that concluded there was a definite association between omega-3 levels and behavior and mood disorders, including depression.

This seems to be yet another study that contradicts an earlier study - so what is to believe? It's hard to say -- but consumption of healthy Omega-3 oils is good regardless.
