Fit Links: Walk, Jog, Run!

Posted: Feb 13th 2007 6:00AM by Brigitte Dale

As fabulous as we here at That's Fit think this blog is, the truth is there are hundreds of wonderful blogs on healthy living to be seen all over the blogosphere. So in this feature, Fit Links, we'll introduce you to some that have caught our eye.

No fancy equipment needed, and no gym membership required. Fitness trends come and go but walking and running remain simple, easy, and effective ways to burn calories and gain muscle.

Below, you'll find some links to get you informed and inspired to walk, jog, or run your way to fitness. (Okay, so jogging and running really aren't all that different from each other, but it sounds nice to have three options, right?)

10000 Steps per Day, named for the goal of daily 10,000 steps for fitness, covers walking news and equipment, mixed with a bit of other health news.

Jog Blog is the most personal of the three links. Sometimes I think it's more motivational for me to read another person's experience, whether they're sticking to their training perfectly or telling me why they couldn't. Follow Cathy's progress on her jogging plans mixed with a personal blog, and check out her music picks if your Ipod is in need of some fresh tracks.

A Passion for Running, written by a six-time marathoner, mixes running news and training tips with a record of his personal progress.
