Go Red for Women Day -- February 2nd!

Posted on Jan 31st 2007 3:30PM by Bethany Sanders
Wear red on Friday and support the American Heart Association in their Go Red for Women campaign.

Not everyone realizes that heart disease is the number one killer of women in the United States, and taking part in this campaign is a great way to spread the word. Heart disease is largely preventable, so the campaign is designed to spread a little knowledge and empower women to take care of their health.

To raise money for the campaign, many business offer their employees the opportunity for a "casual day" to wear jeans and something red for the cost of a $5 donation to the charity. This is a great way to support a good foundation, have fun in the office, and get to wear something casual to work for once!

So on Friday, put on a red shirt, tie a red bow in your hair, or paint on some red lipstick and show your support in the fight against heart disease!
