Caffeinated donuts are finally here!
Categories: Nutrition & Supplements
You're almost certainly aware that donuts aren't good for you. Caffeine, on the other hand, besides just giving you a jolt, has been found to have many positive side effects. So what happens now that a scientist has figured out how to give you both at once?
Ladies and gentlemen, introducing the caffeinated donut.
Dr. Robert Bohannon, a molecular scientist, says he's figured out how to add caffeine to baked goods -- without the bitter after taste you find in coffee. In fact, each of these action-packed pastries is the equivalent of two cups of coffee. Zing!
While that's certainly exciting -- especially when that second cup of coffee won't get your over the hump in the morning -- this doesn't change the fact that donuts are packed with sugar and fried in oil full of trans fats.
Besides, I like drinking coffee.

SECOND CUP of coffee??? Just do what I do, drink TWO POTS of coffee. Then you don't need the donuts. And you won't get the heartburn that goes with them!

My local donut store has been adding coffee, and therefore caffeine, to its devils food donuts for years. But Dr. Robert Bohannon, a molecular scientist, says HE has figured out how to add caffeine to baked goods. Way to hog the credit, Bob.

Positive aspects of caffeine? Of course they can't and won't say anything bad about caffeine, it is what keeps the hamsters on the wheel. We have to keep the corporation engine going.

The only safe donut is a Whole Grain , or Multi-grain , or Whole Wheat that is BAKED , not fried , and only coated or rolled in a mixture of Sweet 'n' Low / Equal/ Splenda & Cinnamon , which any doctor will tell you is good for people that have high blood sugars .
