When life throws you a curve ball and something terrible happens, you have two choices: wallow in self-pity or do your best to pick up and move on in the best way you can, learning from the experience. It's only natural to feel angry, depressed, or stressed out and anxious. The important thing is that you bounce back, and good news: resilience can be learned.

Wow, this is a very helpful article. We don't hear very often in our culture to "be strong" and "pick yourself up again". At least I don't. I have had a huge history of getting bogged down due to loss. I've wasted many years. I can now, I added to the pain with my mind and made it worse. It's very nice to learn that resilence can be learned...wow, what a lesson! Thanks!
