Frozen embryo that survived Katrina flooding born
When one looks back at the Hurricane Katrina situation that happened in 2005, it's hard to imagine that a frozen embryo actually survived that disaster intact. Not only that, the baby boy that developed from that embryo has just been born, and was aptly named "Noah". The baby boy was born in a hospital in New Orleans and weighed 8 pounds, 6-1/2 ounces.
Parents Rebekah and Glen Markham were unable to have children, which led to the creation of the embryo that was saved after being stored at a hospital in New Orleans -- where the embryo was saved due to a danger of thawing when Katrina hit.
