As someone who is always trying to achieve or exceed the recommended 5 to 10 servings of fruit and vegetables a day, I'm always looking for new ways to liven up my produce. Fruits don't require much attention, but veggies, well, they can be bland, bitter or boring at the best of times. I'm often browsing vegetarian cookbooks even though I'm not a vegetarian because meat is easy to add flavor too -- making those veggies something to be desired is a whole other ballgame.
If you're in the same boat as me, here are a few small tips to making your veggies stand out (in a good way.) One this that the article notes is that many people (women especially) find a number of vegetables taste bitter -- this is because they have a different tastebud make-up than others. So if your vegetables taste bitter, it might not be all in your head.
