The seven sins of dieting

If you're on a diet, there are a few 'sins' that can be deadly ... to your progress, at least. They're the 7 sins of dieting and they are mistakes that you need to know to avoid. Knowledge is the key, and educating yourself about weightloss is what will guarantee you success.
The big mistake is eating too much. People often way more than they should, especially if they think what they're eating is healthy. Healthy foods have calories too and nothing should be consumed in mass quantities. Which leads to another problem: thinking what you're eating is healthy when it's not. Juice, low-fat cookies, granola bars -- these are all packed with sugar and calories.
While many struggle with eating too much, some eat too little, which causes the body to go into starvation mode which leads to - you guessed it - weight gain. Cutting out food groups, like carbs, can be hazardous to your health. Carbs are good for you, as long as they're the 'good' carbs. Believing in the power of supplements is a bad idea, as is believing everything we read on weight loss. Some sources just aren't 100% accurate, and it's a good idea to do some of your own research. Finally, while weight loss depends quite a bit on your food choices, exercise is key to seizing and maintaining a healthy life.
