The key to portion control

People embarking on the weight loss journey know that it's not so much what you eat or how much you exercise; it's the portion sizes of what you eat that really count. But portion control can be tricky business. Just what is a 'serving'? And how do you figure out how many servings you're consuming when you're in a hurry or in a place where you can't measure your food?
Here are some tips from the experts at WebMD. You can use a number of tools for portion control. For example, when making sandwiches, use pita bread because you can fit much less in the pocket than you can in between two slices of bread. My favorite thing to use is small Tupperware containers, about 1/4 of a cup in size, which I fill with nuts for a healthy snack. .
