Prepare for success with the Environment Diet
Posted on Dec 12th 2006 10:18PM by Martha EdwardsI've heard that we're all products of our environment. The environment that surrounds us determines the path of our life, at least in part. So it's not surprising that this applies to health and weightloss as well. Just as a messy house can be conducive to a messy life, an unhealthy environment can lead to and unhealthy life. One way to change this is to change our environment.
That's exactly what diet motivator Julia Havey says in this article. She proposes we take charge of our environments in what she dubs 'The Environment Diet,' though it's not so much a diet as it is a lifestyle change. How do we do this? One way would be to remove the unhealthy influences from our home, such as the junk food, the soda ... maybe even the TV? I have considered cancelling my cable subscription because while I don't watch TV that much, every now and then the vortex of infomercials and re-runs manages to suck me in and I end up spending a perfectly good day on the couch.
What changes can you make to your environment?
