10 hints that you may be on a fad diet

You probably already know that fad diets are no good. They're flashy diets that guarantee you results in a certain amount of time IF you stick to the program. But sticking to the program is unrealistic because they often have stricter-than-strict guidelines. People who do manage to lose weight on these programs often gain it back because it's something they can't follow.

So basically, avoid fad diets. How do you do that? Read this -- it's a list of signs that your diet may be a fad diet. For instance, if you are required to eat only a certain type of food (such as grapefruit or soup) or completely eliminate a food group from you diet (such as carbs), your probably on a fad diet.

When choosing a diet plan, pick one that you think you can stick to in the long run. For me, the GI Diet is one that I think I could follow for a while. What about you?
