Jogger attacked by pack of wild dogs!
Seriously. James McGrath of Nashville, TN, was jogging through a neighborhood park when a pack of 15 stray dogs came out of nowhere and attacked him. Fortunately, some people in a nearby building heard his screams for help, and gave McGrath safe haven from the four-legged assailants.
The dogs then went after another jogger and a police officer. Eventually an animal control officer arrived, but was only able to find 2 of the rogue canines.
I've only recently started jogging, and, as of yet, haven't had any run-ins with ornery animals. But what about you? Is this common? Have you found yourself cranking it up a notch to escape a dog gone bad?

I don't run or jog, but I must say, this man or anyone else would have to be attacked if people just took the proper responsibility and got their pets spayed/neutered. I do feel bad for the man and anyone else these dogs attacked but I feel just as bad that these dogs have to live that way and have no one to give them love and hugs. Okay, so I'm an animal lover! : )

As a cyclist dogs are always spooky, stray or not. Most ownder do not folloow leash laws and I have been chased several times on my bike. I haven't gotten bittn yet luckily, but I have friends who've had. It all comes down to irresponsible people. :(

I bought some Halt Dog Repellent. I haven't had to use it, but there are some scary dogs (behind their fences) where I run. Dogs are animals and I wouldn't put it past them to hop a fence and run after me. I like knowing I have something that will help me get away from them if that were to happen.
