Did you know that you can significantly reduce work stress by giving yourself a mini-break once an hour? Since work stress has recently been linked to not only poor productivity, but also serious health consequences like diabetes, we all should be taking steps to reduce stress in our workplace. Personally, I think this is the fun part of taking care of our health. The healthy diet and the regular exercise can take some will power, but doctors are now asking me step away from my work once an hour? This, I can do.

Get a cup of tea, take a walk around the office, or do some stretches - anything that takes you away from your work for a 3-5 minutes. And if you're worried about attracting attention for being a slacker, talk to your boss or manager about the the benefits (including increased productivity) of brief hourly breaks.
