If wine with dinner has always been on your list of "guilty pleasures," you've probably been happy with all the good press wine has been getting lately in regards to health benefits. A new book, The Wine Lover's Healthy Weight Loss Plan by Dr. Tedd Goldfinger and Chef Lynn Nicholson, is focused on helping people get the benefits of wine as part of a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Goldfinger goes into some detail in an article for eDiets.com regarding the different health benefits between white and red wine, but stresses that they're all very similar so it's more about what you like the most. He also emphasizes the importance of moderation, that anything in excess -- especially alcohol -- can be a bad thing.

Chef Lynn Nicholson then goes on to give advice on creating healthy meals to go with your newfound wine knowledge. Her focus is on natural, simple, healthy dishes. Some recipes she gives online are Parmesan-Crusted Chicken with Wild Greens Salad and a Tuna Black Bean Tostada with Watermelon Slaw and Tomatillo Salsa. It might be a mouthful to say but it sounds interesting!
