How many calories ... in a Starbucks eggnog latte?
Ahhh ... Christmas. A time of family and friends, parties and presents, shopping malls and mistletoe, red noses and singing and who could forget all the twinking lights? It's a magical time of the year, one that wouldn't be complete with my favorite Christmas shopping beverage -- the eggnog latte from Starbucks. The truth is, I'll probably wish I let myself be blissfully ignorant as to how much calories and fat this creamy delight has, but inquiring minds want to know, so here we go: How many calories and grams of fat are in a Starbucks Eggnog Latte?
a) 510 cal, 29 g of fat
b) 625 cal, 15 g of fat
c) 320 cal, 17 g of fat
d) 225 cal, 22 g of fat
The answer is a) 510 cal, 29 g of fat. Frightening! But the 'good' news is, that calorie count is for a grande with whole milk and whipped cream. If you get a tall made with nonfat milk and hold the whipped cream, the calorie count is a manageable 270 cal and 8 g of fat. That's still quite a bit for a coffee, but at least it doesn't have the equivalent calories and fat of a big mac. Whew.

I used to drink a lot of Second Cup's "Chillatte" iced-coffee drinks in the summer thinking they were just coffee, ice, and "a bit of milk".
Then I discovered that they were 420 calories and 25 g fat! Dropped those puppies in a hurry... Now I'm a skim latte kind of guy.

Whoa, that is frightening!! I am one of those fools who thought that 'non fat' meant non fat. Clearly I am an innocent! Whats in an ordinary non fat latte?!

Yvonne, non-fat usually does mean non-fat, but the eggnog latte unfortunately cannot ever be nonfat because it is has eggnog in it -- the best you can do is make it with nonfat milk. I think for a tall non-fat latte (no flavour added like vanilla etc) you are looking at about 120 cal and 0 fat, so stick with that one from now on! The best choice is the cappuccino or a regular coffee. You can find out more by clicking the 'read' link below the post.
Thanks for your input,
Martha

hey guys, just a word. on an eggnog latte just rememeber what eggnog is. and if you ever have any questions about the drinks as far as nutritional content, ask! we have sheets explaining, as well as a general knowledge in most diets, like calorie counts, the adkins, an or low fat-no fat. and if you want that holiday flavor latte in a sensible amount of calories and sugar try a grande peppermint non-fat latte.

I think people are way to concerned about how many calories are in a drink. If you simply excercise then having that eggnog latte wouldn't be a problem

The hell with this greedy corporation. I'd rather get a coffee at a convience store for less then what they charge. No matter what you drink from Starbucks its always going to make you fat. Plain and simple.

I agree with Sam. If you exercise more then your calorie consumption shouldn't be a problem. You can indulge within good limits and still enjoy that latte and boy, does it taste good!!!

Does anyone know how many calories and fat grams are in one of those French Vanilla or Toffer coffers you can get at convenient stores?
