Low carb and fat diets have similar heart disease risks

It seems there is a never-ending stream of studies that tells us about the risks going up and down for several types of ailments based on environment (not genetics) -- things like lifestyle, nutritional habits, alcohol and tobacco consumption and other factors. How about this one -- diets that are low in fat appear to be no more likely to either cause heart disease or prevent it -- as compared to popular low-carbohydrate diets, such as the still popular Atkins diet.
It seems that contradictory studies these days are a dime a dozen -- as some previous studies regarding low-carb diets have shown that the Atkins diet increased the risk of heart disease. Along comes this study which disproves that notion altogether. Although, Harvard researchers from this study said that low-fat and low-carb diets are equally bad -- not equally good.
