Interest in Jamie Oliver's school dinners program decreasing

According to the BBC, kids in the UK aren't eating the food their schools serve them mainly because the food is too healthy after the impact of Jamie Oliver's school dinners campaign. Evidently, kids would prefer chicken nuggets and french fries to fresh veggies and whole grains. The article goes on to point out that while the school dinners program was well-intentioned, the place to target is not the school -- it's the home. That's so true -- kids can have healthy lunches every day, but if they live in an environment filled with junk, they're going to eat poorly the rest of the time while picking up unhealthy eating habits from their parents. Building healthy eating patterns in children lies in the hands of their parents, and I find it pretty disheartening to see bad habits being passed on by junk food-worshipping parents.

On the plus side, this decrease in popularity is expected to be temporary. What do you think?
