What are the world's healthiest foods?
Have you ever wondered what would be the healthiest meal you could eat? I've wondered, but suspected that it might be steamed brussel sprouts with shredded turnip or something equally inedible for me. But I did a little research, and it turns out that the world's healthiest foods are also some of the tastiest.
This gem of a website lists the 100 healthiest foods, and a weekly recipe featuring some of those foods to help you create your own healthy and delicious meals.
The site is free of commercials and based on a non-profit organization, so you know the information is free of bias (unlike the Kraft website, for example). Some of the recipes sound delicious. I am off to make some golden squash soup .Yum!

I recently found the same wonderful non commercial FREE web site. An education in nutrition. So much to learn about how ...what we take into out bodies influences the state of our health and energy levels.
Recently I spent several days in the hospital.
It was scary! Never having been sick a day in my life and suddenly finding myself being thrust into an MRI tunnel!
When I had recovered slightly... and at home I was Inspired to start juicing I found that there's no greater pick me up than a cup of carrot and beet juice with a touch of celery and an apple...
Trite but ...if you don't have your health ...you don't have much. I gave in and went to the ER after having difficulty breathing. Extensive testing found that it wasn't my heart but my red platelets being attacked by an antibody. There were too many of them dying to be handled by my spleen. Not enough oxygen being carried in the blood. Still working on a diagnosis and was prescribed Steroids to keep the red count up.
Thought that I was eating a healthy diet but unaware of the damage that I was doing to my bod by ingesting a ton of refined sugar...margarine and other trans- fats and WOW all of those preservatives in BREAD...
After reading the information on the 100 Best Foods web site I switched to Olive Oil for frying and Honey and Maple Syrup for sweetening can't say enough about that web site. I urge any one concerned about their health to take time out to check it out.
Eating well shouldn't be an economic burden but for some I can see where it would be. Only in America.
Another concern! I've been reading about genetically altered foods. Have you noticed that tomatoes don't taste like tomatoes any more?
